Progress Teachers are working closely with a mainstream Leicester secondary school to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking Teacher of English Literature to start ASAP. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of an ambitious English curriculum across KS3 & KS5, supporting pupils to make positive academic progress and experience success.

Responsibilities of the Role:

* Plan and deliver engaging and impactful lessons for students across KS3 and KS5.

* Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation and collaboration.

* Regularly monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments.

* Provide meaningful and tailored feedback to support longer-term learning.

* Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective teaching strategies.

* Participate in wider-school events as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on English Literature / Language is advantageous, but experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.

* A degree in English Literature or a related field, with a strong understanding of key concepts and a passion for the subject.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.

* A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.

* A DBS on the Update Service or Willingness to obtain.
