GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and motivated SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the supportive team at our client schools in Cramlington. If you have experience working with children, particularly in a SEN environment, this role could be the perfect next step in your career.

The Role:

As a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, empathetic, and ready to take their first step into the world of education.

As a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Supporting students in the classroom, particularly those with SEN needs.
Assisting teachers in preparing lessons and adapting them to meet the needs of students with SEN.
Providing one-to-one or small group support to students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Helping to implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Encouraging students to develop their independence, social skills, and self-confidence.
Participating in team meetings and contribute to the school's overall SEN strategy.
Working closely with teachers and other staff members to support the educational and emotional development of students.
As a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, Your Requirements will include:

A bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a relevant field is necessary.
Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN environment, is required.
Solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Patience, empathy, and a sincere passion for supporting children with SEN.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Flexibility and adaptability to address the needs of the school and students.
