English Teacher - Bristol

Purple Mango Education has the absolute pleasure in working with a great secondary school in Bristol who are currently in search of a teacher of English for KS3. This is a maternity cover role, starting in January or earlier for the right person. This will run until the end of the academic year.

The school is looking for an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of success and raising pupil outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons for KS3 students, focusing on developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

* Use a range of teaching methods and resources to ensure all students are engaged and challenged in a supportive learning environment.

* Assess, record, and report on students' progress, adapting lesson plans to meet individual learning needs.

* Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages student participation and academic growth.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in English or a related field.

* Experience teaching English at the KS3 level, with a strong grasp of the curriculum.

* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.

* A commitment to professional development and keeping up-to-date with educational best practices.
