Primary Teaching Assistant - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in an excellent primary school near Blackburn, supporting the teacher. The successful candidate will have a strong background supporting children in a school setting, and be prepared to take on extra responsibilities, including leading interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Encouraging positive behaviour and learning
• Preparing resources and establishing learning areas
• Supporting students in small groups or on 1-1 basis

Position Details-

• Role: Teaching Assistant
• Hours: 8:20am-3:20pm
• Type of work: Temporary
• Start date: Jan 2025
• End date: Ongoing
• Location: Blackburn
• Minimum rate of pay: £95 per day dependant on experience

Experience, Training and Qualifications-

• Teaching Assistant experience or an equivalent qualification is required
• Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (desirable but training can be provided if necessary)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
