Our client is an industry leading manufacturer who produce an ever-evolving product range for their customer base who are currently recording record profit levels. They have a range of customers, blue chip household names to smaller brands, they operate internationally and continue to expand globally.
The Job
Reporting into the Procurement Manager working alongside 2 other Buyers, this Buyer job will be responsible for the largest area of spend (up to 4m) but only from a small number of suppliers.
Whilst this role is not Senior in title, it is in responsibilities and duties. You will be responsible for all relatable purchasing duties of your area whilst providing appropriate KPI updates to the wider business and maintaining accurate system data for suppliers (lead time, pricing, due dates, batch sizes and cost price field for new items etc.) You will also play a key role in the overall purchasing strategy supporting the procurement manager. The requirements:
* The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in Purchasing within Manufacturing and / or Engineering environments at Buyer or Senior Buyer level including experience working with MRP / ERP stems.
* You must have experience with BOM's, assemblies and structural experience in a fast paced environment.
* You will have excellent communication skills, the ability deliver multiple talks simultaneously and be a team player who work collaboratively towards business objectives.
* CIPS qualified or working towards is beneficial but not must.
* You must be a commercial individual as you will be involved in strategic level decision making supporting the procurement manager.
Salary and Benefits
You will received 25 days holiday, matched enhanced pensions, death in service, private medical, bonus and a salary to be negotiated on appointment but circa 40k.
