Commercial Lead
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial professional or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor working on a large and flagship civil engineering project in the north. Due to rapidly expanding operations on the project, there is an opportunity for a senior commercial professional to help plan and report on the commercials to ensure tight commercial management of the wdier project.
The successful commercial professional will work closely with the client on behalf of the main contractor, reporting on live commercial positions and risks and planning the commercial management of the project. You will regularly report to the wider commercial team, outlining the commercial positions and risks to assist in the wider management of the project.
The opportunity would suit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or commercial manager with experience working on large scale civl engineering projects
Person Profile
* Previous commercial experience on large scale multidisciplinary civil engineering or construction projects
* Has worked at a minimum leevel of Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally for a large or main contractor previously.
* Finely tuned at analysing data and producing clear, concise and accurate reports.
* Keen attention to detail
* Work well independently as well as in a team environment.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers whilst maintaining assertiveness.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management.
* Previous experience in rail or a highly regulated industry would be an advantage but not essential.
