Production Technician

Our engineering manufacturing company based in Royston have a new permanent opportunity to join their production assembly team. This is a brand-new position due to company growth.

The team of Production Assembly Technicians are fun, some have been in the company a long time and happy to help give you guidance with all the duties, to join this great team you will be like minded. They offer a nice working environment and flexible working hours.

Main responsibilities for the Production Technician:

* An understanding or practical experience of using Lean techniques.

* Basic welding (metals like aluminium, magnesium).

* Reading and understanding technical drawings and documentation.

* Using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).

* Experience of mechanical or electromechanical assembly in a factory environment.

* Experience of working to Health and Safety improvements.

* Using multi-meters.

* Used to achieving production delivery deadlines, including standard build times.

* Experience of working to quality and environmental standards (e.g. 9001, 14001, 18001).

* Basic soldering skills.

Qualifications / Experience of the Production Technician:

* Excellent spoken and written English with proven and effective communication skills.

* The ability to work constructively within a team and with other areas of the business.

* To be diligent and methodically focus on tasks with a clear sense of urgency.

* Maintaining and promoting a safe, clean, tidy & amicable working environment for self and others.

* Maintaining a positive approach, adaptable & flexible to changing demands.

Hours of work for the Production Technician:

* Monday to Friday days 37.5 (Flexible working hours scheme)
