Hours: 16 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm
Hourly rate: £12.43 per hour plus weekend enhancement
Job Purpose
The Senior Hospitality Assistants work closely with the Head Chef (Village) and Chef (Village) to provide a food and drink service in a welcoming, clean environment for our residents/customers in our village café including some preparation and cooking of food.
Key Results
All Hospitality Assistants
- Creates a welcoming environment for residents and customers in our village restaurants with a focus on customer service and providing a wide variety of food and drinks. Building a rapport with residents.
- Provides a café/barista service in the village restaurants.
- Serves customers using the EPOS.
- Responsible for day-to-day cleanliness, hygiene and washing up after a food service.
- Safely closes down the kitchen at the end of the day in line with protocols in preparation for the next day. Removes waste.
Senior Hospitality Assistants
- Assists with stock management, rotation and ordering.
- People management responsibilities and supervision of the Hospitality Assistants.
- Assists the Chef with some cooking and prep including making sandwiches, paninis, salads etc for the village café.
- Responsible (with the Chef (Village)) for the food produced meeting quality standards and compliance in relation to allergens and other dietary needs.
- Accurately cashes up at the end of service.

The role

Within the catering team there are a range of roles, including head chefs, sous chefs, commis chefs, catering assistants and hospitality support workers.
