Clinical Psychologist (Band 7/8a)Vale of GlamorganBand 7/8a (depending on experience)Full-TimeYou will play a pivotal role in enhancing the emotional and mental wellbeing of our learners, using your skills and expertise to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialised psychological assessments using a variety of methods (e.g., psychometric and neuropsychological assessments, structured interviews, and direct/indirect observations).
• Deliver tailored psychological therapy based on evidence-based practice, adapting therapy plans as needed to ensure progress.
• Offer advice and consultation to multi-disciplinary colleagues on clinical matters.
• Work independently within the British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles & Guidelines 2004 and HCPC registration policies.
• Take full professional responsibility for the quality and outcomes of your clinical practice.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of local team policies and service quality.
• Support and supervise other professionals and trainees, offering training and guidance as required.
• Utilise your research skills to contribute to audits, policy development, and service improvement initiatives.

Essential:

• Doctorate in Clinical or Educational Psychology, or Professional Registration in a relevant health profession (e.g., Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy) with additional training in psychological therapy.
• Desirable:
• Experience working within an educational setting or with young adults.
• Expertise in delivering psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to a complex client group.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage highly sensitive situations and communicate complex information persuasively.
• Experience in clinical supervision and training of other professionals.
