Yard Manager

Location: Tamworth
Salary: £32,500 per annum (based on a 41.25-hour week)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:45 AM - 4:00 PM

Are you an experienced Yard Manager looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated Yard Manager to join our client in Tamworth.

Key Responsibilities:

* Vehicle and Trailer Maintenance: Conduct weekly checks on the fleet

* Forklift Operation: Safely operate a counterbalance forklift.

* Loading and Unloading: Prepare and load site vehicles for upcoming jobs and unload them upon return.

* Logistics Management: Manage the sending and receiving of deliveries and unloading of HGVs.

* Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard organized, including equipment storage, stocktaking, and overall upkeep.

* Team Leadership: Oversee site staff when they are present in the yard.

* Record Management: Maintain accurate records, including daily forklift checks and LOLER compliance.

* Coordination: Provide daily updates to the Works Delivery Coordinator.

Requirements:

* Clean and valid driving licence

* Valid counterbalance forklift license.

* Experienced in driving and reversing light goods trailers.

* Able to handle the demands of a physically intensive role.

* Comfortable with digital reporting and IT tools.

* Proven track record in a similar role with related responsibilities.

* Basic mechanical knowledge is desirable but not essential.
