Management Accountant

Duration: 12 months FTC

Salary: £45,000

Location: Manchester City Centre

About the role: 12 months maternity cover needed. The Management Accountant will play a key role in preparing, analysing and reporting financial information to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of Management Accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to efficiently communicate financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare/Calculate month end journals including payments/ accruals, accrued/deferred income
• Preparation of Management Accountants for several limited companies within the group
• Month end reporting including profit & loss
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to reconcile multiple of sources of income is key
• Assist with the Group VAT return and payment process
• Assist the Head of Finance with any other projects as required

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: a minimum of 3-5 years in a Management/ Cost Accountant role
• Finalist or newly qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong IT Skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUPs etc)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
• Availability: Immediately Available
