Yard Supervisor – Builders Merchant Role overview:  Lead the yard team in delivering outstanding customer service through accurate picking and packing, strong product knowledge, and adherence to Health & Safety best practices. Build lasting relationships with both trade and retail customers, ensuring their expectations and needs are consistently met. Drive sales by maintaining a high-performing, efficient, and reliable yard team.  Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold exceptional customer service standards, following company best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Lead, coach, and support the yard team to achieve high performance.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing of products, verifying quality and quantity before loading.
• Maintain yard standards in line with audit criteria.
• Deliver excellent service to customers and suppliers within the yard.
• Safeguard company assets, including stock, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure the correct and safe operation of all mechanical equipment and machinery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a builder's merchant (essential).
• A valid forklift license.

Skills & Qualities:

• Strong understanding of stock control principles.
• Team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Problem-solving skills with logical thinking and good numeracy.

Salary: Up to £32,500Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 17:00 and every other Saturday 08:00 - 12:00
