Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for an Air Import Operator to join their office in Manchester.

Key duties and responsibilities:

* Handle shipments from door to door.

* Prepare and submit customs entries.

* Respond to clients in a timely manner.

* Invoice jobs in a timely manner.

* Loading of information into CW1.

* Close liaison with customs compliance manager.

* To handle daily import operations for Manchester client base.

* To work closely with the air export department to help cover as a full airfreight department.

* To liaise with clients in relation to documentation, delivery and charges, if required.

* Quotations for clients and overseas agents

* Monitor ETA and advise of any changes.

* Ensure customer has all required docs, I.E. PODs, copy C88 etc.

Person Specification:

* Good communication skills

* Good organization skills and effective time management & working practices

* Manage time effectively

* Commercial awareness

* Attention to detail

* IT Literate in Microsoft Office

* Problem solving

* Applicant would ideally have 2-3 years recent relevant industry experience with previous involvement in Air Imports from quote to delivered.

* CW1 experience an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided
