Position Overview:

Anderson Knight Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Adviser to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human resources practices and have a passion for supporting employees and enhancing organisational effectiveness.

Our client supports hybrid working and has an office based in Edinburgh where you would spend 2 days per week working alongside a wider HR team. The HR Adviser post is a fixed term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of this position being added into the team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.

* Support the recruitment manager with the recruitment and selection process, candidate screening, and interviewing.

* Conduct employee on boarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth integration into the company.

* Oversee employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a professional and timely manner.

* Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

* Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, keeping abreast of any changes and advising management accordingly.

* Support performance management processes, including appraisals and development plans.

* Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

* Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as an HR Adviser or in a similar role.

* Proven experience managing a caseload of ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management

* Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

* Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
