Our client is Europe's leading independent Ophthalmic company, and they have an excellent new opportunity for Commercial Manager to lead their established and emerging trading partners within national pharmacy, optometry, wholesale and online.

You will be experienced having worked in a commercial setting with major chains and will drive co-creation of actionable strategies and the execution of those through compelling commercial plans to ensure the client are the eye health partner of choice with their key customers.

Ophthalmology experience is not essential; attitude and motivation are key as this role offers significant potential for growth, with opportunities to develop into a leadership position.

Working closely with the marketing team to provide strong input to enable robust joint business plans, driving education in the business unit and working with key influencers to meet the needs of the customer, ultimately influencing sales.

The Commercial Manager's role is a key contributor to the overall business, and you will have a dynamic approach in delivering crucial new product launches. Focusing on the dry eye portfolio, including sector leading brands, in addition, managing the growth of the eyelid hygiene portfolio and an exciting range of new products.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

* Business or Science related third level qualification required

* ABPI qualification is desirable. If not currently held, should be completed within 2 years of joining.

* Experience in account management is essential

* Proven record of achieving sales success

* Effectively analysing and utilising data

* Demonstrable negotiation and success with buyers

* Ability to influence and lead others without direct-line management responsibility

* Customer focused with a high attention to detail

* Ability to work well on one's own initiative and as part of a cross functional team

* Communication and interpersonal skills - comfortable and capable of communicating with all levels within and outside the business both written and verbal with a high level of professionalism

* Organisational skills - self-motivated and able to demonstrate strong organisation and prioritisation skills in a sales and relationship management environment

* Strong technical and computer literacy; skilled in the use of tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

* "Can do" attitude needed to thrive in a fast-growing company

* Proven record of ability to work independently and take ownership and accountability of results to manage a very diverse and demanding workload
