Job Summary

The Composite Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all composite components and tooling meet the required quality standards for customers in the automotive, aerospace, and motorsport industries. The role involves using advanced measurement tools such as Trackers, Polyworks, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to inspect and validate components. The inspector plays a key role in maintaining the company's high-quality standards while supporting the production team in meeting delivery schedules.

Main Duties

* Inspect composite components and tooling to ensure they meet quality standards and engineering specifications.

* Operate Trackers and use Polyworks for advanced measurement and inspection tasks, ensuring precise validation of components.

* Program and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for both on and offline inspections.

* Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to develop accurate measurement and inspection programs.

* Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).

* Perform manual measurements using tools such as micrometres, verniers, and gauges where applicable.

* Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality issues and ensure continuous improvement.

* Track production processes using relevant systems and assist with recording part lifing data.

* Support LEAN manufacturing and 5S activities to maintain a clean and organised work environment.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all inspection processes.

Requirements

* Experience with Trackers and Polyworks for high-precision measurement and inspection of composite components.

* Proficiency in CMM programming and operation for composite part inspection.

* Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

* At least two years' experience in a quality inspection role within the composites industry.

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D models accurately.

* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

* Good organisational skills and a team-oriented mindset.

* Familiarity with automotive, aerospace, or motorsport industries is a plus
