Excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Technician with strong AutoCAD skills and expertise to join a busy Structural Engineering Department in Birmingham.

As a Structural Technician you will have excellent AutoCAD abilities and "ideally" be experienced in the use of CADS RC and Excel. You will understand projects of a "buildings" nature and be able to work on the production of drawings and details from foundation upwards.

The Role

* Preparation of engineering drawings and specifications

* Use of AutoCAD, CADS RC, Excel and other computerised design software

* Supervising and mentoring less experienced Technicians

* Liaison with clients and contractors

* Managing the delivery of projects

About You

* Excellent communications skills both verbally and written

* IT literate

* Ideally 5 years+ experience detailing in constructions, with some experience detailing RC.

* Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors and other consultants

* Be able to work effectively as part of a team
