£35k dependent on experience

High-end furniture and joinery manufacturers seek a creative designer with extensive experience working on bespoke products.

You will work on full design projects from conception to installation ensuring project scope, quality, cost and customer satisfaction.

As the Designer you will:

Work on interesting and challenging bespoke projects supplying to the domestic and commercial industries
Interpret client drawings and discuss requirements and potential changes and problems to ensure they meet specifications and vision
Work closely with manufacturing ensuring products meet specifications and troubleshooting as required
Manage your own projects from conception to delivery
Produce as built drawings, design for manufacture and sit drawings for installation
Work to set project deadlines
Working in Rhino and SolidWorks
Attend client review meetings
Ensure all designs, drawings and documents are saved in the product files
Ensure material availability, issue cutting lists and production packs for manufacturingAs the Designer you will:

Have confident experience of producing designs for bespoke furniture of similar products
Be familiar with a range of 3D design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suit or Rhino
Hold a relevant qualification in interior, production engineering design
Have a proven background in managing your own projects
Be familiar with design for manufacture
Have a strong understanding of joinery techniques and material limitations
Be a great communicator able to deal directly with clients
Be familiar with Working in a targeted production environment
