At E.ON, we believe in creating sustainable and inclusive cities. As a Social Value Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading social value creation to support the growth of our Coventry City partnership. You will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive social value plans, engage with local authorities, and drive initiatives that address the needs of communities while aligning with our business objectives.

You will also be responsible for working with E.ON internal business areas to develop, coordinate and deliver social value as part of our technical projects for the Strategic Energy Partnership (SEP) with Coventry City Council. The role will also involve reporting these commitments and benefits to senior stakeholders internally and at the Council as well as driving forward best practice and continuous improvement of social value within E.ON.

Responsibilities:Lead and project manage social value initiatives to support the growth of new city partnerships.Develop a deep understanding of social issues and skills gaps in target city regions, and identify and deliver opportunities that address these through the Social Value plan.Collaborate with the Innovation and Propositions lead to develop offerings that have Social Value at the core of our City partnership proposition.Co-create social value strategies with local authorities that meet community needs and business objectives.Be a thought leader for E.ON in social value within the energy industry and coordinate across the Social Value community within E.ON.Lead community engagement efforts, utilizing various platforms to gather insights and promote effective communication.Support the bid writing process and take ownership of tender content related to social value.Implement the Social Value Plan, involving key internal and external stakeholders and incorporating sustainability into business operations.Develop and implement the Social Value Portal as a tool for monitoring and evaluating progress towards objectives.Engage and influence key external stakeholders across target cities, as well as internal stakeholders within E.ON. - Report progress to relevant Steercos, including preparation for executive, board, and external stakeholder meetings.Manage risks and issues, provide insights on lessons learned, and make recommendations for improvement.Support the continuous improvement of the Social Value handbook and contribute to the E.ON UK-wide working group.Collaborate with third parties on insight and research to inform broader activities across target cities.Support the PR strategy to position E.ON as an industry leader for social value.

What we need from youDemonstrable track record of social value delivery and leadershipProven track record in working with large, complex projects and/or programmes including delegation of tasks and measurement of progressA demonstrable understanding of, and passion for, all matters relating to social value and its importance in our commitment to delivering the energy transitionAbility to build strong relationships and motivate and influence stakeholders, including senior management levelKey influencer with the ability to network and negotiate at the highest levels of our business as well as those of our partners, advisors and clients to ensure strong cross-business and -functional collaboration, support and deliveryStrong negotiating, influencing, leadership and communication skills and an excellent awareness of the impact of your workA desire for further development to broaden skills and experience into strategic social value developmentAbility to present complex findings in concise and engaging manner to senior stakeholders
