Our client is part of as multi-billion-pound global organisation employing more than 70,000 staff in more than 100 countries and are recognised market leaders in their niche manufacturing sector.

The Merseyside (St. Helens) facility is now seeking to recruit an experienced and proactive Multi Discipline Maintenance Supervisor to complement their established and professional team.

Tasked with supervising, controlling and maintaining plants in a multidisciplinary capacity to ensure all customer demands are met and meet agreed budget targets, you will plan and co-ordinate maintenance activities at main site and satellite locations to agreed company and industry standards. In addition, you will supervise internal and contract personnel in accordance with Permit to Work requirements and actively support the sites safety, health, environmental & quality goals and targets.

Acting as a senior person on site for plant emergencies and implementing any appropriate site emergency plans as required, you will inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis, including diagnosing faults and providing feedback for rectification, and you will also participate in maintaining the sites on call system.

Ideally qualified to HNC level or above in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical bias desirable with solid Electrical knowledge) as Maintenance Supervisor you will demonstrate at least 4 years proven practical experience gained in a similar role in an industrial chemical / process environment with a good base knowledge and understanding of industry and statutory standards and codes of practice.

With detailed knowledge of Permit to Work procedures and a good understanding of current Health, Safety and Environment legislation (NEBOSH certificate preferred but not essential), you will essentially demonstrate knowledge of operating chemical and process plant equipment with the ability to provide a high standard of customer service whilst working under pressure.
