Registered Children's Home Manager

Location: Central Manchester
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DoE)
Annual Leave: 28 days + Bank Holidays
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (Flexibility required for occasional out-of-hours contact & sleep-in duties)

Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a 2-bedded home in Central Manchester, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. This is an opportunity for an existing Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready for the next step. You will be responsible for the home's staff, resources, and ensuring a high standard of care in line with Children's Homes Regulations & Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the staff team, ensuring a safe and supportive environment

* Oversee safeguarding, risk assessments, and care planning

* Supervise, mentor, and develop staff teams

* Ensure compliance with all Ofsted and regulatory requirements

* Manage budgets and operational procedures

Requirements

Qualifications:

* Level 3/4 Diploma in Children & Young People in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

* Full UK driving license

Experience & Skills:

* 2+ years in a residential children's home, with experience in a management role

* Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations & Social Care Inspection Framework

* Ability to lead and develop staff teams

* Experience managing young people with complex behavioural needs

* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
