Salary: £58,000 - £60,000 per annum

Orka Financial is working with a rapidly growing SME business based in Weybridge to recruit a Financial Controller. This role will offer the successful candidate full responsibility on the day to day management of the operational Finance team along with the opportunity to be autonomous in a busy working environment with authority to suggest and implement change and be a key contributor to the continued success of the business.

The Financial Controller is a key member of the management team. Alongside their financial reporting duties and team management responsibilities, they will also be involved in interaction with stakeholders throughout the business.

Responsibilities:


• Responsible for Group Audit relationships and management
• Working with Auditors for statutory accounts sign off
• Manage all aspects of Tax compliance across the Group, including VAT reporting and returns
• Working Capital Management
• Management of the AR & AP functions, including management of a team of 2
• Responsible for key monthly reconciliations such as vehicle asset and hire purchase recs
• Preparation of Financial reporting for senior stakeholders
• Providing key Finance operations analysis to support decision making and drive efficiencies
• Preparation of the month end files to support monthly management accounts
• Responsible for signing off monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting the budget & forecasting process
• Other adhoc projects

Profile:
• ACCA/ACA or CIMA qualified
• Strong interpersonal skills and previous management experience
• Ability to proactively challenge and build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments
• Intermediate / advanced excel
• Self-motivated, driven and technically strong individual
• Able to adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills

Salary:

£60,000 + car/car allowance + benefits
