ROLE – Graduate Mechanical Engineer LOCATION – OldhamTERM - PermanentSALARY- £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Oldham on a permanent basis.The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree / HND / HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Eager to work in a hands-on and varied Engineering role
• Comfortable speaking directly with clients
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining, assembly etc
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD etc.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Proficient using MS Office
• Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
• Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
• A background in Manufacture would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Team player
• Eager to train and develop their career in Engineering/Manufacture

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

• Varied technical work covering different areas of Engineering
• Being involved in Sales, estimating, specifying requirements, preparing orders and creating quotations
• Using 3D CAD (SolidWorks)

• Producing technical drawings
• Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
• Seeing through projects from concept through to completion
• Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects

• Opportunities to train in different areas of Engineering and progress up in the company
• Working to procedures and instructions
• Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
