Job description:

Based - Stoke on Trent, ST4 6PH (min 3 days a week on site)

12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave

Salary circa £55,000 per annum + bonus + car allowance + private medical insurance

Our Mr Kipling bakery in Stoke on Trent is looking for a fully qualified Finance Manager to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. You will provide a dedicated financial resource to support and challenge the manufacturing operation at a site level, and also support the Director of Supply Chain Finance in the delivery of their objectives.  

What you will be doing:

Finance Control & Operations

  • Delivery of site standards which reflect current working practices and agreed specification
  • Month-end, quarter-end, year-end completion and delivery of reporting cycles
  • Maintain adequate financial control at site and a good level of governance
  • Monitor and report capital expenditure for the site
  • Review and analyse stock reporting and forecasting

Performance Reporting

  • Report timely information to site teams both financial and non-financial
  • Risk analysis, particularly around stock. Driving meetings between all operational parties, set agendas, etc.

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Co-ordinate site budgets and ensure alignment with the business objectives
  • Delivery of site forecasts ensuring it is accurate, robust and timely
  • Complete forecasts and budgets in conjunction with site management teams to company standard

People

  • Personal Development reviews, employee development
  • Active member of Senior Leadership Team on site, take part in overall site decision making, participate in safety tours
  • Play an active role in the Supply Chain Finance team, taking on appropriate activities outside of the role

What we need from you:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc)
  • Previous relevant experience within Site manufacturing
  • Advanced Excel / Word / PowerPoint
  • Ability to work alone, under pressure and be able to achieve deadlines
