Requirements for the Senior Healthcare Assistant (Residential Care) role:

• Level 2 Health & Social Care, Level 3 is desirable
• Previous care experience

This Care Home set a beautiful listed home, within a 5000-acre Estate and an area of outstanding natural. The dedicated team offers high quality residential and dementia care to a small number of older adults.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Healthcare Assistant

• Acting as a positive role model; provide effective supervision and guidance for the team; contribute towards their performance and professional development
• Communicating any concerns to senior management
• Ensuring the implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed
• Providing practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with personal care needs
• Observing and monitoring the wellbeing of residents, ensuring that any changes are referred and documented
• Monitoring and allocating work for HCAs
• Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors
• Undertake administration of medication training and administer medication to residents
