Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £37,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: West London
Permanent role – Monday to Friday

Join our client’s team as a Maintenance Engineer at a leading manufacturing company. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and uninterrupted operation of our production machinery and equipment. You will work under the guidance of the Production Manager to maintain high operational standards and improve machine efficiency, reliability, and safety.

The Role:

  • Startup critical factory equipment every Monday and perform comprehensive safety checks to ensure all machinery is functioning properly.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Quickly and effectively diagnose and repair equipment faults to minimize operational disruption.
  • Collaborate with senior production team members to identify maintenance needs and process improvements.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized equipment, including PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley).

Ideal Background:

  • Educational Background: Electro-mechanical Engineering, HNC/HND/Degree, or equivalent, or appropriate apprenticeship.
  • Certifications: Certified in 17th Edition Electrical Course or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a maintenance role, ideally within the polythene or blown film extrusion machinery industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, including motors, drives, gearboxes, pneumatics, and PLC systems.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic abilities.
