Ability to calmly and maturely manage a team that consists of housekeepers, chefs, and front of house. Solid organisational skills and experience in maximising commercial benefit of PMS, Online Bookings, and 3rd Party Websites.
The Pub
The Crown and Horns is in the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village of East Ilsley, can be traced back to the Domesday Book and is noted for its great Sheep Fairs, and more recently for its horse-racing connections.
The location is very rural but remains accessible. 1hrs drive from the M25, only 10 mins drive from Jct 13 of the M4, 10miles north of Newbury.
This village pub benefits from lovely kitchen courtyard garden, our 11 bedrooms surround this courtyard, there is private carpark.
As you walk into the Crown & Horns you can smell the open fire in the winter months and hear the gentle chatter of locals catching up with each other in the small bar area, Hotel guests will check-in here at quiet end of the bar. As you explore round the pub, you will see most of its space to devoted to dining, this is broken up with wooden beams and wood burner. The large kitchen is in the heart of the pub, the front of house team finds it easy to collect food orders and communicate to the kitchen team.

The Boutique Bedrooms
There are 11 bedrooms in total, the great location ensures our bedroom guests are a mix of both corporate clients during the week and leisure guests at the weekends. Located on the 1st floor above the dining area there is a flat, this consists of 2 bedrooms (1 ensuite), living room, kitchen/dining, bathroom and living room.
