Position: CAD Body Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid Working - 2 days onsite in Nuneaton, Warwickshire

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who specialise in co-friendly and cost-effective electric trucks, vans etc

They are looking for a Body Design engineer to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis who are offering hybrid working from Nuneaton

Job Description

• Automotive design engineer with minimum 3 years' experience in automotive Body design
• Experience with composites and SMC processes
• NX experience in Body in White design
• Good communication skills in English
• Self-motivated individual capable of working under your own initiative as well as meeting tight deadlines

Qualifications / Skills needed

In addition we would expect you to have experience in the following areas.

• Commercial vehicles
• An understanding of whole vehicle design
• Experience with external suppliers and consultants to ensure that engineering, cost and timing targets are met
• Experience of full product life-cycle activities including cost & weight and supplier management
• A broad-based practical design experience and sound knowledge of Body structures
