Our long established, prestigious Engineering client based in Daventry, Northamptonshire are looking to recruit a Permanent Workshop Fitter - Engineering.
Job Purpose:
To carry out essential maintenance/servicing of a variety of hydraulic equipment, diagnose technical problems and repair or replace spare parts that are subject to wear.
Workshop Fitter - Engineering Responsibilities:
- Repair a variety of hydraulic equipment.
- Completion of inspection of equipment. Ensuring that all equipment is thoroughly inspected and the relevant job card completed both neatly and accurately.
- Ensure all equipment repairs and refurbishments are carried out safely and to the standards set by our client.
- From time to time you will also be required to work at customer locations as part of the company's on-site services. This work is dependent on the contracts that our client has in hand at any given time.
- Prepare repair quotations and job cards.
- Driving/deliveries may be necessary at the companies discretion.
Workshop Fitter - Engineering Requirements:
- Engineering, Technical or Mechanical background/work experience required.
- Hardworking, conscientious and must be able to carry out all aspects of the role.
- Ideally holds a valid driving licence.
- Dependable and self-motivated.
Remuneration & Benefits:
- Salary dependent on experience
- Non- contractual discretionary profit related bonus scheme payable up to 5% of salary paid twice in a financial year (6 monthly period, after completion of probation period).
- Holidays: 22 + 8 bank holidays annually January to December. Rising by one day each year's service after 2 years service up to 26 + 8 bank holidays.
