A little bit about the opportunity…

The White Harte, Bristol is an iconic pub nestled on Park Row, where history meets vibrancy. A beloved spot for locals and students alike, this is more than just a pub—it's a destination.

Famed locally for its great sports viewing, great food and an extremely strong student food and drink offer as well as an extensive rotating range of craft beers and ciders. With a weekly quiz night and regular themed evets, there is always something going on. For our guests who like lings a little more sedate the pool tables and dart boards are a real attraction too.

With its proximity to the University, the pub benefits from a strong student trade with societies and social groups being an onward opportunity to grow sales further.

Damian Johnson our Area Manager in Bristol want to work with a General Manager who is passionate about sports as this is a big driver within the business. He also wants a General Manager who will be pro-active in networking with the University to drive the sign up of groups and societies using all of the tools available to them as this is an area identified as an opportunity for significant growth come the new academic year.

Obviously, there is all the other stuff that needs doing too as part of our day job, such as the compliance and due-diligence bit. Damian’s expectation is that your operational standards are arrow straight and will be the envy of your peer group.

The team at the White Harte will need to know that their new General Manager will be constantly making a positive difference to the business and to their careers, you will relish the opportunity to increase the focus to drive sales creating a robust ROTW with the input and support of the team, whilst ensure that every effort is made to ensure their onward development within the business through great draining, development and recognition for doing a great job!
