Director Tender Operations (m/f/x) β CSL Behring International(Fulltime / permanent)
Location: Haywards Heath, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Danderyd, Hattersheim, Marburg OR Bern
The Opportunity:
The tender business is a critical go to market strategy for the CSL Behring International region. The Tender Operations, International position holder will play a strategic role ensuring that CSL Behring International regions wins the right tender, at the right level of pricing.
You are responsible for creating a Tender Center of Excellence and Above Market function for the International region by developing the necessary processes, tools and governance supporting optimal, harmonized, coordinated and efficient tendering activities at the affiliate (markets) level.
Area of responsibility: APAC, EMEA, EUCAN, DACH, LATAM & BP clusters
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to: Senior Director, International Tenders, Partnerships and Planning
The Role
- Through your work, and in collaboration with key functions (e.g., Finance, pricing, demand planning and supply, Legal and Compliance, Insights and Analytics), you will directly influence senior leadership decision making on the most important tenders, consequently impacting the international region revenue and gross margin targets.
- You will be responsible for developing the International region tender strategy and propose revenue generation scenario by balancing risks and opportunities.
- To perform this critical role the position holder will need to apply strong analytical skills, innovate to create simple solutions to complex challenges that will have a material impact to the business.
- You will be responsible to regularly assess adherence of the organization to processes, maintain the quality of data provided by the affiliates, prepare governance meetings and train the organization where needed.
- You will continuously look for, evaluate and implement new ideas, innovative processes and remove barriers to support an efficient, innovative and best in class tendering process.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 12+ years of operational experience with tendering, demand planning, finance, or similar experience
- Experience working in a Commercial environment is a must.
- Experience in demonstrating leadership, collaboration and shaping decisions making across all levels in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Strategic mindset and data modelling abilities
- Capable of influencing without authority and comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity
- Finance acumens is a plus.
- Must have strong communication skills, oral and written.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, modeling and customer service skills
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership/ team building capabilities.
- CSL Product knowledge is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, MBA a plus.
- English language fluency
