The purpose of this position is to work cross-functionally with medical, market access/HEOR, marketing and sales to develop and deliver Value, Access and Policy strategies, tools and materials, to support the UK’s commercial plans, and to be a key player in understanding the NHS structures, funding flows, drivers and barriers for our products and therapy areas. The role will build and deliver market access plans in line with brand critical success factors and strategic imperatives, to create optimal access for our in-market and launch products. You will build and manage relationships with key external payer stakeholders and co-design projects to improve standards of care and access to medicines in CSL Vifor’s disease areas. The role is based in Maidenhead. Your tasks and responsibilities will be the following:
Shapes and executes market access strategies and tactics to ensure optimal access for in-market and pipeline products
Closely monitors trends and changes in the NHS structure and operating model, defines implications for the business, and informs the business in a timely manner
Provides input into brand plans and delivers on market access elements within agreed budgets and timelines
Maintains a network of NHS, payer and other relevant stakeholder contacts
Influences and mobilises internal business partners and external stakeholders to deliver initiatives that support access to CSL Vifor’s pipeline and portfolio
Is an active and integral member of the business team and collaborates extensively with cross-functional teams to align on business strategy
Conducts all activities in compliance with industry and company codes of practice, policies and laws
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.
Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Sciences, Health Economics, Political Science, Law, Public Policy/Public Administration or similar
• 3-5 years of experience in Value and Access, ideally experience of company and/or NHS environments
• Pharmaceutical industry experience delivering value for high value medicines in secondary care therapy areas
• Demonstrable understanding of NHS, relevant commissioning and access bodies and funding processes for high-value medicines
• Experience of utilizing NHS data g HES, QOF to evaluate the environment and identify opportunities
• Experience executing market access tools and materials in UK
• Proven ability to develop strategies and project plans
• Language requirement: English
