Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client who's mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. They are seeking an experienced Exterior Panels and Accessories Senior CAD Design Engineer modules on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Warwick.
Job Description
As Senior CAD Design Engineer your main responsibilities are:
- 5+ years of Automotive Design experience in Exterior systems within Exterior Panels, Exterior Trim, Ornamentation, Bumpers, Grilles, Fenders, Spoilers
- 2+ Years experience in Exterior panels and accessories
- 2+ years' experience in a senior/lead CAD or design role
- 5+ years' experience using CATIA V5
- Composite part design, plastic injection moulded parts experience.
- Knowledge of Exterior methodologies and general requirements (Industry best practice and legislation)
- Releasing experience including 2d drawings and GD&T.
- Experience liaising with suppliers and incorporating DFM, Moldflow, SPEOS and DFA feedback
Nice to Have Criteria:
- Experience designing composite parts
- High end SUV experience
- BEV / EV experience
- Ideally has worked in several exterior trim commodities.
- Start-up experience.
