Student Advice and Wellbeing operates a person-centred model of support to ensure students receive the right type of support at the right time. We are now looking for a Student Wellbeing Advisor. As a Student Wellbeing Advisor you will often be the first point of contact for students with any issues that are affecting their studies and/or their mental health and wellbeing
Working closely with the academic faculties and other teams within Student Advice and Wellbeing, the post holder will ensure that students receive timely, appropriate and specialist advice in the area of wellbeing and in relation to all aspects of university life. The post holder will provide high quality guidance, advice, and support to a large caseload of students within the appropriate level of professional competence. The post is key in supporting student wellbeing, improving the student experience, and aiding retention, progression and attainment of students. As well as daily appointments and drop-ins, the team also offer a range of workshops and interventions to support our diverse student population.
You will have a degree or equivalent IAG qualification. In addition, experience of working with and understanding the current issues that affect students in Higher Education, around mental health, is essential. You should be highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
