The Wheatsheaf sits prominently on a busy road on the outskirts of Didcot in Oxfordshire. You’ll find a newly built residential estate a mile away, and the town has a direct train line into London Paddington.

The pub comprises an open-plan trading space subdivided into various seating areas. Guests enjoy the pool table, darts board and an Aunt Sally set-up in the garden for team games. The pub has external seating at the front and a decent-sized beer garden at the back, including an external TV. There is also a little kitchen to run a food offer and a large car park at the back.

Our vision is for this to be the most popular local pub offering the best pint where friends and families gather, new friendships forged and experiences shared. You’ll be the go-to pub to watch SKY & BT Sports, attracting guests with your quizzes, monthly entertainment, discos, and karaoke. It will be fair to say that you have something for all ages and tastes. After all, you’ll be the quirky, characterful, and sports-loving host with the most.

Ideal operator

• We’re seeking an energetic personality who loves pubs and their local community.
• You’ll read people well and have a track record of recruiting the best staff to make your guests feel welcome, have an excellent time, and feel valued.
• Your focus will be on empowering your team with tailored training.
• You’ll be knowledgeable and passionate about drinks, as this is predominantly wet led.
• We’re also seeking a Management Partner proud to make this as a safe, inclusive, and welcoming local pub for everyone.

Accommodation:

The flat has two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

Love working closely with an Operations Manager in providing the right management services to build an incredible pub legacy with uncompromising standards and stand out guest experience? Then the Punch Management Partnership Contract is the perfect option.

Alongside tonnes of day to day support and a brilliant framework to grow the business, we provide an uncapped cut of top line turnover to pay yourself and your team in exchange for your Management Company providing the management services at the pub – it’s your structure to own. We understand how important it is for a Management Company to completely own their own team.

In Management Partnerships, we love pub obsessed Management Companies with an entrepreneurial spirit that can help us lead the industry. We love to engage Management Companies that help us create pub legacies that stand the test of time and become the hub of their community. We get that every pub has its own distinct character, so our Operations Manager will work closely with the Management Company to understand the true identity of the business, we can then help support and amplify this as part of the Management Partnership model.
