Estimator - Civil Engineering & Groundworks
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, working on a range of civil engineering and groundworks projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to contribute to tendering, cost planning, and securing contracts in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects
- Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and tender documents
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
- Preparing bid submissions and tender documentation
- Collaborating with project teams, clients, and commercial departments
- Monitoring market trends and cost fluctuations to ensure competitive pricing
Requirements:- Minimum 10 years' experience in an Estimator role within civil engineering or groundworks
- Strong knowledge of tendering and cost estimating procedures
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
