I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who are creating exceptional cars that blend British elegance with ferocious intelligence to forge a new legacy forever

They are looking for a Senior Interior Design Engineer to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis working 42 hours per week

Job Description

• Having successfully delivered projects from concept to SOP with established OEMs or Tier 1 in the automotive industry
• 3D CAD & 2D Drawings- Expertise in complex assemblies and detailed 2D/3D designs
• 3D CAD & 2D Drawings- Establish and refine design standards and best practices
• GD&T and Tolerancing- Develop advanced tolerance schemes that optimize manufacturability and performance
• GD&T and Tolerancing- mastering BS 8888:2020 and ISO GPS
• Material Selection- In-depth understanding of materials for interior production, cost, and compliance
• Material Selection- Able to propose materials and discuss new design solutions
• DFMEA & Feasibility Analysis- active participation in DFMEA initiatives and perform comprehensive feasibility analyses to refine designs
• Surface Design & Styling- Independently manage surface design analysis and change requests
• Surface Design & Styling- Tool concept design proposals, moulding directions, sliders and complex tool inserts analysis
