My client is a manufacturing firm based in Merseyside who are experts in the development and production of carbon-ceramic materials.
They are looking to expand their business by adding a skilled, Maintenance Engineer to their team.
What you'll be doing as their Maintenance Engineer:
- Provide escalation support on equipment & machinery breakdowns forming a crucial part of their breakdown escalation policy
- Ensure the quickest possible breakdown recovery through effective problem solving & Diagnostic testing to support route cause identification
- Maintain a continuous improvement methodology throughout all maintenance activity & communicate all potential improvements
- Play a significant role in our maintenance C.I. initiative in Identifying potential improvements, collecting data, supporting generation of business case, design, implementation & monitoring of improvements made.
- Take lead role in the installation, relocation & modification of equipment & machinery as required
- Carry out repair, replacement & refurbishment of various parts, components & systems
- Perform planned maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery & facilities in accordance to their maintenance schedules.
- Ensure accurate records of maintenance activity including Work Orders & Stores Inventory
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Uphold 5s standards through all maintenance work areas
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruption
Equipment systems you'll be working with:
Machine: 3 & 4 Axis Vertical CNC Mills, 2 & 3 Axis Vertical & Horizontal CNC Radial Grinders, Manual Radial Grinder, Manual Lathe, Needle Loom, Radial Test & Balancing, Laser Etching, Industrial & Bespoke Static Ovens, Infra-Red Ovens, Bespoke Fixturing, Resistive & Induction Furnace.
Control: Siemens Sinumerik, S7 & TIA, Mazatrol, Bosch Rexroth, HAAS, Fanuc
Need to have:
- A relevant vocational qualification e.g. NVQ, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND with an appropriate apprenticeship.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working within a Maintenance/Engineering environment
- Exposure to maintenance of machine tool equipment
- Experience with identification, design & installation of improvement projects
- Good communication skills across a multitude of platforms
