Hackney Education Family Information Service (FIS) is looking to recruit a Senior Family Information Service Officer. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of information, advice and guidance about childcare, activities and other services for children and young people (Section 12 of the Childcare Act 2006).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in this challenging time. The successful candidate will have had experience of delivering high quality work within target time and be able to work with minimum supervision. You must have strong communication skills and excellent IT skills and be able to promote FIS services.

Key responsibilities for the post holder include:

  • Keeping our management information system up to date with information about activities and services for children and young people.
  • Providing a service that ensures that all stakeholders have access to high quality, accurate and timely information using different channels including the website and social media in relation to childcare, childcare related benefits and Help and Support services
  • Responding to complex public enquiries and providing advice and guidance to families and professionals to support children, young people and families.
